- Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
- We collect your name, address and contact details and the amount you plan to pledge, donate or sponsor to gauge community interest in investing in the Hoops. We collect your name and address so that we can: - know how many people are interested in investing - plan our share offer - inform you when our share offer launches

How long we keep information
If we do not progress to a share offer we will keep your personal information for 12 months.
If we do progress to a share offer, but you decide not to become a shareholder, we will keep your personal information for 24 months, so that we can contact you about further share offers or to demonstrate to the regulator (the Financial Conduct Authority) that we have conducted a proper process.
If we progress to a share offer and you decide to become a shareholder, we will keep your personal information as a permanent record as required by the Financial Conduct Authority who regulate Community Benefit Societies. If we progress to a share offer we will update our privacy notice to detail the information we collect from members who are shareholders.
